Robb Cappelletto has been an active figure on Toronto’s jazz scene since 2007. Upon graduating from Toronto’s York University Jazz program where he earned a Master’s degree in composition, Robb has gone on to work extensively as a sideman as well as leading his own projects. At 26 years of age, Cappelletto has already served on faculty at York University teaching jazz guitar (2007-2009) and has shared the stage with some of North America’s top jazz artists, including Dave Douglas, Mike Murley, Barry Elmes and Kelly Jefferson. Capelletto’s creative and dynamic approach to jazz guitar and distinctive sound have earned him the accolades to top musicians such as Ben Monder, Drew Gress, Lorne Lofsky, Rob McConnell, Jeff Parker and Mary Halvorson.
RG Peever started playing and performed pop top 40 songs in the early 70’s; from there it was a blues band and then cloned Bruce Cockburn and began writing songs as a singer-songwriter, playing folk venues for many years. RG formed JazzTex in ’97 and had the opportunity to produce a millennium song “Planet 2000”. The JazzTex play mostly pop jazz these days and perform at venues, festivals, and resorts. RG is an exceptional writer with a great voice for pop jazz.
